I’ve alredy showed you some Christmas treats recipes. Despide the fact, that they were healthy, they contained pretty much calories. So if you wanna enjoy Cristmas time with everything that belongs to it and not end up looking like a hippo after the christmas, let’s be smart. Let’s choose the right ingredients and choose them wisely. This article may help you to survive these holiday seasons with smile on your face, satisfied taste buds and without a huge number on a scale. Here are some sweet lower-calorie recipes:

Avocado - Chocolate mousse


  •  1 large avocado
  •  2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  •  ¼ cup almond milk
  •  1-2 tsp maple syrup / honey
  •  1 tsp natural vanilla extract
  •  Raspberries, for garnish

Instructions: Place avocados, cocoa powder, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract into the blender. Mix until smooth. Add a little more milk, if needed. Spoon the pudding into dessert cups and top with fresh raspberries, or nuts.

Cherry Chia Pudding


  •  1 cup frozen cherries
  •  1 cup coconut milk
  •  ¼ cup of chia seeds
  •  ¼ cup cherry juice (with no added sugar)
  •  1 tbsp vanilla extract
  •  ¼ tbsp ground nutmeg
  •  ¼ tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions: In a small bowl, combine chia seeds, cherry juice and coconut milk. Allow this to soak for at least 30 minutes or until the chia seeds have absorbed most of the liquid creating a thick gel. Then mix in all remaining ingredients and stir until creamy. If you want to have multicolour puding you can divide mixture for example into 2 bowls and put a cocoa powder into one of them. You can play with it like you want to. There aro no limits for imagination. Pour pudding into the glass you’re serving in. Garnish by sprinkling chocolate chips on top or additional cherries.

Raw cherry-coconut bars


  •  80g shelled pistachios
  •  150g sweet cherries frozen or dried
  •  2 cans coconut cream, chilled overnight
  •  3 tbsp honey / maple syrup

Instructions: Put waxed paper on the loaf pan. Coarsely mash the cherries with a fork. Shell the nuts, then coarsely chop. Scrape the thick layer of coconut cream into a bowl. Mix in the honey and stir until soft. Gently stir in the pistachios and cherries and spread the mixture into the prepared pan. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm. Cut into slices and serve scattered with extra cherries.
