It´s time to set up new goals

How to set up new goals that you can achieve? Is this the good time for this? Alica HEVEROVA will tell you.

2018 is behind us. Some people achieved the goals they wanted to achieve but some didn’t. Each year's regrets are envelopes in which messages of hope are found for the New Year. However, you can’t wait for the new year to start a better life, to find a better job or to have a body of your deepest dreams. You can’t sit on your butt just because your best friend is not in a mood to hit the gym with you. Maybe you are friends for life, maybe if she jumps out of the window you jump as well, but come on, be wise.
If you want to be successful, you can’t keep making excuses. You have to follow your dream, fight and sacrifice what’s necessary. Don’t delay it for tomorrow, for Monday, for better weather or a note from a God. You have to start right now. And right now is linked with a NEW YEAR, so you have even bigger reason to start building the life you always wanted to have. Life without excuses. Life with dedication, purpose and set goals. There is something magical about the flip of the calendar. It represents a clean break, a new hope, and a blank canvas.

So now’s the time when you definitely should do some reasonable change in your life that you always wanted to do. But girls, be wise. Don’t overact. Around New Year’s Eve there are so many 60-day body challenges, 35-day cucumber diets or In the new year no sugar, no gluten, no fat, no carbs, try no food, no breathing… Come on girls, these stupid challenges or new year’s resolutions are absolutely ridiculous and not sustainable.
Heard of placebo before? That’s what will happen if you jump in such an extremes and I’m sure you don’t want that. You should take it slow and easy, change the way of your life, your lifestyle and take it step by step. You decided to make a change because you want to change something in your life and you want to maintain that not to go 5 steps back when you’ll realize it’s too much for you.

My advice for you is to start with 5 basic rules for the new year 2019:

  • SLEEP BETTER

Nailing this habit could change your entire life. Unfortunately in these stressful days people sleep way less than they should. A lot of work, stress, responsibilities and commitments. Sometimes they just forget about themselves, forget about what really matters. Or maybe they’re just those party people, who choose club over bed. Are you one of them as well? Then it’s time for a change! For this year, commit to getting 8 hours of sleep every night. You’ll feel more energized, improve your mental and physical health and boost your recovery.

  • EAT HEALTHY

Regardless of your fitness goal, nutrition always makes or breaks the results. Eat smart, eat healthy, eat varied food. Make every plate colorful. Eat fruits, vegetables, fiber and proteins every day. Your body will thank you.

  • STAY HYDRATED

Whether you’re a serious athlete or simply exercise for recreation, it’s important to stay hydrated. Water regulates your body temperature and lubricates your joints. It helps transport nutrients to give you energy and keep you healthy. If you’re not hydrated, your body can’t perform at its highest level. You may feel tired, have muscle cramps, dizziness, or other serious symptoms. To stay hydrated during the day drink at 3 liters of water – tap water, sparkling water, lemonade or tee. It also depends on how much you workout. If you exercise a lot, drink more.

  • WORKING OUT

Working out is another component of happy life. Aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day – by that I mean at least a quick walk if you’re not fancy for a workout. Exercise improves your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Help you to have stronger bones, muscles and joints and lower risk of developing osteoporosis. As a plus there’s a healthier state of mind in a game. Aaaand walking on the beach with that sexy butt of course. What else should we wish for, right?

  • RELAX

Make time for yourself. Make time to relax. Reserve at least 5 minutes a day only for yourself, for your own development. Start doing different stuff. Try meditation or yoga each morning or evening to help you feel more calm throughout the day and help you to handle the ups and downs of life.
